We found our way to Crested Butte not too long ago. I rode my SS and decided that CB might be one of those locations that isn't best on a SS. I enjoy having a choice and sometimes I just need to employ that choice. I'm glad I did it, but next time the gears will tag along.
It's amazing that what was once an epic day now leaves me wanting more. We found our selves looking at the map often trying to figure out how to hoop different trials and areas up. I hope to make it back this summer so we can test those ideas on geared bikes so we can make it up steep climbs and last an entire day in the saddle.
